As a learning professional, I have made a tremendous growth spurt during the course Designing Learning for the Brain. Both in how I design and facilitate learning. Understanding how our brain functions feels like essential knowledge for all learning (learning) professionals. I would recommend the program if you're interested in growing as a person and as a (learning) professional.
Seline van Remundt, Freelance L&D, Trainer, Yoga teacher, Well-Being advocate
Joining this program was a game-changer for me. I learned so much and got very inspired by the creative ideas flowing around! We did all kinds of fun & engaging exercises that I can't wait to use in my workshops. I also liked that I got the chance to practice in a safe environment, with a small cohort of peers, facilitating a short workshop and exploring the world of embodied learning together. I feel way more confident now, and I know I'll use what I learned in my job. :)
Ribana Mos, Learning Experience Designer at Doctolib
I was fortunate to have been invited to take part in the Fundamentals of AI for L&D Leaders by Offbeat. I learned so much from the facilitators and my co-participants. The program is highly recommended for L&D professionals who want to know how they can leverage AI in their work!
Abegail Bercasio, Learning & Development Manager at TomTom
The unique value of this session was not its engaging, fun, and dynamic format, but its structured approach that guided us from reflection to evaluation and then to action planning. This methodical, rule-based process ensured objectivity and fairness, allowing us to develop a clear understanding of our roles and the expectations associated with them.
Soorya Menon, Learning Experience Manager, Quest Alliance
Oh, so many things! But don't take our word for it. Explore what you'll be capable of at the end of the program if you give it your all, of course.
Get a grasp on the fundamentals of how your brain takes in and processes information, stores it (memory) and how we often work against the system.
Once you have an understanding of the operational system, you’ll be able to understand and apply knowledge and methods to learn better with more strategy and intention.
Be able to look at the way you design learning through the lens of the brain and the operating system. This is where you’ll learn to integrate function and theory and become more aware of the advantages and limitations you have when designing learning.
In the first week, you’ll learn how organizations define sales enablement and the main responsibilities this team holds based on an organization’s size and structure. You’ll be able to speak to what is similar and different between a sales enablement and learning & development role, and you’ll practice talking about a sales team’s unique needs and challenges.
In the second week, you’ll be able to speak to the difference between 6 distinct sales roles, and you’ll also learn how to tailor your enablement to sellers working in different segments, whether by company size (such as SMB, mid-market, and enterprise) or geographically (such as NORAM, APAC, and EMEA). You’ll also understand the different needs of key stakeholders, such as sales leadership, product marketing, and revenue operations. You’ll practice designing an enablement program that meets the needs of these different learners in a scalable way.
In the third week, you’ll be able to walk through the steps of a standard B2B sales cycle and speak to how sales enablement can support leaders in optimizing performance at each stage of the process. You’ll also understand the critical moments for sales teams within a fiscal year and how this impacts enablement initiatives. You’ll put this knowledge into practice through an exercise where you evaluate incoming enablement requests from multiple stakeholders and choose what to prioritize at a specific point in the fiscal year.
In the fourth week, you’ll learn the basic framework of common sales methodologies and understand what drives a leader to adopt a specific one for their sales organization. You’ll also understand how to approach performance coaching for sales teams and individuals. You’ll be given a sample set of data from a sales pipeline, along with a specific methodology to use, and decide how you would approach addressing the performance gap on a team and individual level.
In the fifth week, you’ll gain a clear understanding of the range of sales tools that are marketed to enablement & revenue operations teams and create a criteria plan for how to evaluate when a tool is needed and which one to select. You’ll be given a mock scenario where you have to assess a performance need, determine the type of tool that can help you to solve that need and evaluate several vendors to present to your manager to secure budget approval.
In the sixth week, you’ll learn what hiring managers look for in sales enablement professionals, how to continue your ongoing learning in this field, and, if applicable, how to optimize a transition into this field from a traditional L&D role. You’ll practice applying one of the most desired skills, change management, in an exercise where you collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions to ensure that product training improves in the next fiscal year.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in this amazing learning journey with Lauren. The program focused on understanding how to learn and how to design more successful learning, and I cannot express enough how transformative the experience has been for me. The program not only provided a deep dive into the intricacies of the brain's learning mechanisms but also equipped me with practical strategies to enhance my own learning and cognitive abilities.
Sandra Murillo-Sandoval, Learning & Development Specialist at Amber
I appreciate the time and effort invested into designing and delivering the program. The content was very relevant and highly practical filled with vivid and on-point examples. Lena is a fantastic facilitator! She made everyone feel included and ensured we all had our chance to ask questions, contribute, and practice.
Yaroslava Danyliuk, Operational Specialist at Affinity Space
The workshop was really a good experience for me personally. I’ve worked on aspects of learning experience design across my work, however, the workshop brings together the key concepts and frameworks in a very structured manner and helped me learn and think about various elements.
Nikita Bengani, Director - Youth Program, Quest Alliance
Our facilitators are not only very experienced in the topics they're teaching, but also extremely cool. Check who's facilitating this program below!
Kristen “inadvertently” started her career in sales when she joined the admissions department at an ed-tech company after earning her M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Mental Health Services. Her transition into a sales enablement role was atypical from the standard growth path and focused disproportionately on creating, delivering on, and pitching transferable experience, as opposed to having directly sold in specific segments or industries. After proposing and working in a brand new enablement role, she became one of the first sales enablement team members at BetterUp, leading initiatives across the entire sales organization. She has also worked as a Head of L&D and holds ATD certifications in Human Performance Improvement and Consulting Skills.
While new information will definitely be useful, the most powerful learning will come from making sense of it for your context, actually applying it, and receiving feedback from facilitators & peers.
