About the author

I’m Lavinia. I run Offbeat, a space where L&D professionals get together to ask the hard questions our profession is facing.

I have 13 years of experience, which I spent as a Learning Designer, L&D Consultant, and L&D Manager.

I love L&D because it sits at the intersection of different disciplines, such as systems thinking, experience design, behavioural science, facilitation, among others. You can never get bored.

I fell in love with learning only after I left higher education. Once I found out that L&D was a real job, I wanted to make it my career.
